The courses are offered by UW-Milwaukee, the Medical College of Wisconsin and Marquette University; at least eight credits must be taken through UWM. Courses taken toward other degree programs may be used to meet the Certificate requirements. (Note: Students in PhD programs must still complete the minimum residency requirements)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certificate courses used toward meeting degree requirements must be completed within the time limit for transfer credit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Courses completed for a degree may be counted toward a subsequent certificate, subject to all certificate policy requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A course may count toward no more than one certificate and one degree.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students may not earn a certificate subsequent to a concentration in the same area.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"tab-e950-admission\" class=\"uwm-p-tabcontent--pane\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-application-deadlines\">Application Deadlines<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Application deadlines vary by program, please review the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/uwm.edu\/graduateschool\/program-deadlines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">application deadline chart<\/a>&nbsp;for specific programs. Other important dates and deadlines can be found by using the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/onestop\/dates-and-deadlines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">One Stop calendars<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-application\">Application<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students wishing to obtain this certificate must declare their intention by applying to the program office or director.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All graduate certificate applicants\u2014even those already enrolled in a UWM graduate program\u2014must&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/applygrad\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">apply to the Graduate School<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Graduate degree and previously admitted graduate non-degree students who decide to pursue a certificate program must submit the application before completing 6 credits in the certificate sequence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must possess a baccalaureate degree and have a minimum 2.75 cumulative undergraduate grade point average to be admitted into a certificate program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-admission-requirements-and-procedures\">Admission Requirements and Procedures<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Admission to the certificate program requires (1) a minimum G.P.A. for admission to the certificate program is 3.0 (4-point scale) in prior bachelor\u2019s degree (or cumulative credits after admission to a dual bachelor-master\u2019s degree program); or (2) concurrent enrollment in a Graduate or Professional degree program; or (3) completion of a Graduate or Professional degree program.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"details-sidebar\" class=\"uwm-l-col
