Dr. Cho’s research interests lie in two major areas. His first interest is to develop statistical methodology in health science and medical studies. In health science and medical studies, the major goal is to detect risk factors for development of diseases. However, data in health science and medical studies always contain nonresponse items or missing information due to a limited study period. He is interested in the development of statistical methodology to utilize missing information to help decision making for clinicians.
His second area of interest is the analysis of cancer data. He is interested in integrating multiple risk factors of pancreatic cancer to improve patients’ survival by using various statistical methods. This also leads him to develop algorithms and statistical methodology.
