Medical College of Wisconsin: Research Program Coordinator II
Work with the Cancer Center Community team to support Outreach, Education and Research. The Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center is looking for an experienced, full-time Research Program Coordinator for an NIH-funded trial investigating a behavioral intervention for African American Prostate Cancer survivors. The individual hired for this position will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day research activities at the lead site for a behavioral intervention trial, working closely with the principal investigator, program manager, and other study team members at the MCW Cancer Center.

APHA: Student Travel Scholarships
APHA is a large organization, with a total membership of over 25,000. The 146th Annual Meeting and Exposition of the American Public Health Association (APHA) will be held from November 10 – 14, 2018 in San Diego, California. The theme for this year’s conference, with an anticipated attendance of over 12,000 in total, is “Creating the Healthiest Nation: Health Equity Now.”

The Environment Section’s agenda for the Annual Meeting will benefit participants greatly. In particular, students – the future of the public health workforce – will have the ability to connect with potential mentors and researchers and will learn about community-based environmental justice initiatives. To Environment Section is pleased to offer travel scholarships between $500- $1000 each for students to defray cost of travel to the annual meeting. Visit the website for more info.
