The American Lung Association has a great opportunity for a Coordinator, Health Promotions to join our incredible team in the Upper Midwest Region. Working as a member of the Health Promotion & Education Team, you will join an outstanding group of professionals dedicated to our mission: to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease, through research, education and advocacy. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the communication strategy of Wisconsin’s statewide youth tobacco prevention advocacy program (FACT) based on evidence-based health education and Tobacco Prevention and Control Program (TPCP) priorities. This is a grant funded position.
Idealist – Program and Electronic Communications Coordinator
The Program and Electronic Communications Coordinator will provide program, administrative, and communications support for several major grants of WI FACETS. The Data and Program Analyst is responsible for leading the cross-functional data gathering and reporting process. This role collects, assesses, analyzes, translates and interprets data from across the entire Foundation for use in determining results of internal and external strategies, as well as develops and maintains the mechanisms that enable stakeholders to understand outcomes and make informed decisions based on data. The city of Oak Creek Health Department – Public Health Specialist
Under general supervision of the Community Public Health Officer (CPHO), performs a variety of activities requiring a thorough knowledge of public health. Coordinates and implements the ongoing emergency preparedness activities. Conducts Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan process and facilitates the Strategic and Quality Improvement Plans. Maintains and expands community partnerships, implements and evaluates selected public health services and grant programs for a comprehensive approach to community-based planning and programming, and conducts health communication and education. Performs related work as required. This position requires the ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative. Employee works a full-time schedule necessary to meet the needs of the city, including flexibility in order to attend Health Department and various community meetings and appearances (occasional evening and weekends). The city of Milwaukee Health Department – Home Environmental Health Manager
Under the direction of the Public Health Planning and Policy Director, the Home Environmental Health Manager provides leadership for all MHD programs which identify and address hazards in the home environment shown to impact children’s health, including toxic substances (lead), air quality (mold and other allergens), and personal safety (trips/falls). The incumbent in this position simultaneously manages community and program needs assessment, program planning, coordination and evaluation, staff supervision, research activities, grant funding, and policy development while maintaining numerous collaborative relationships.
Planned Parenthood – Youth Health Educator
This position will further the departments mission of creating sexually healthy communities with a focus on reducing the rate of teen and young adult pregnancy and STIs, including HIV/AIDS. More specifically, this position will provide one-on-one health education to youth in our Youth Health Clinics, assist with providing direct sexuality education to youth during outreach and act as community advocates regarding issues of responsible sexuality education among adolescents and young adults (ages 13-24).
