Campaign to reduce Milwaukee infant mortality hits social media

The campaign to reduce Milwaukee’s stubborn infant mortality rate is making a new push through social media to spread the word about what it takes to have a strong, healthy baby.

“It’s time more babies became strong babies” is the latest message in the ongoing campaign, announced Monday during a news conference at United Way of Greater Milwaukee.

A refreshed Strong Baby Facebook page and website will provide critical information to individuals and a space for people to share information and ideas.

The campaign is re-introducing the Strong Baby ads, first launched in September 2011, with a renewed emphasis on using social media to engage the community in the conversation…
