What did you like most about your Field Experience?

My favorite parts of my field experience at the Racine Health Department have included:

  • Shadowing at the sanitation department
  • My coworkers
  • Increasing my knowledge and learning new skills, such qPCR DNA filtration.

Tell us more about your project for the City of Milwaukee Health Department.

I monitored the Root River and created resources to help the layperson understand what the laboratory contributes to the community. During my field experience, I analyzed the past 15 years of Root River water quality data. I looked at parameters such as turbidity, conductivity and E. coli exceedance.
