Law Enforcement and Investigative Services<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Our officers are trained and equipped to provide law enforcement services to the UWM community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and have the ability to enforce and investigate violations of Wisconsin state statutes and UWS Chapter 18 (Conduct on University Lands). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our officers patrol the UWM campus and surrounding neighborhoods on a daily basis to help ensure a safe environment is maintained. We also have a dedicated team of investigators with advanced training who can assist with complex and sensitive police matters.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Community MeetUp Spot<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

SafeTradeSpots are designated locations near police departments where buyers and sellers can meet in public with good lighting and surveillance cameras to complete in-person transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UW-Milwaukee Police Department\u2019s MeetUp Spot is located at 3351 N. Downer Ave. Look for the designated green sign in the parking lot and the green marked sign at the Police Department\u2019s main entrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vehicle Assistance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

From vehicle lockouts to dead battery jump starts, we are here to help you when your vehicle is giving you trouble. Call our non-emergency<\/a> number and request vehicle assistance, and we will assist you as soon as we are available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lost & Found<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Items of value that have been turned in around campus often are brought to us. Please call our non-emergency<\/a> phone number or stop by the police department to get reunited with your missing property.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Fingerprinting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Upon request<\/a> we will ONLY <\/strong>fingerprint students, staff or faculty. You MUST<\/strong> supply the fingerprint card.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Site Survey Request<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We have a dedicated group of staff members certified in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). CPTED is a multidisciplinary crime-prevention approach that uses the design, use, and management of the built environment to reduce opportunities for crime and fear of crime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
