Emergency Operations Plan

UWM has recognized the increased risks of the world today, and this university-wide plan has been devoloped in response to cover all UWM locations and operations.

UWM Emergency Operations Plan >>

To Protect & Serve

Our department is comprised of 35+ full time Wisconsin State Certified Police Officers, 6+ Security Officers, and 3 Dispatchers. We have been entrusted by the campus community to provide professional police and security services to meet the unique needs of our University. UW Milwaukee is the most diverse institution in the University of Wisconsin System and we’re a learning destination for more than 25,000 students.

Manage and Administer

We have several several full time professional administrative employees and an IT professional that are staffed at our Police Department. These employees work closely with the Chief of Police and the Command Staff as they keep processes, systems and cameras operating efficiently.

Community Policing

As your Police Department, we strive to create a safe and secure environment for you. As a community, everyone shares in the responsibility to keep UW-Milwaukee safe. So with your help, by reporting any suspicious activities, we can all prevent crimes on campus. As partners, we can continue to have a safe campus and the campus will retain the dynamic learning environment which is valued by all.
