Did you know we have our own LGBTQ+ Liaison Team?
Hi, I’m Officer Parsons. I’ve been with the department for 16 years. I am a part of the team because I want to foster relationships with the LGBTQIA community and ensure they have a safe space to report at our department.
Here’s a few things to know about our team!
- All members volunteered to be part of this team as we all agree on the importance to have this resource available on campus.
- We meet to discuss ways to improve the team and address the unique safety concerns within the LGBTQIA community.
- The team’s members work on various shifts in an effort to have a liaison officer available 24/7 to the community.
