It\u2019s International Observe the Moon Night! This event, created by NASA, is happening all over the country and around the world. Join the planetarium in celebrating our closest celestial neighbor, the Moon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can catch one of our free 20-minute indoor planetarium shows covering lunar exploration as well as cultural connections to the Moon. Stay after the show for space-themed treats! Weather permitting, step outside and gaze at the Moon through our telescope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The planetarium program will include an indoor stargazing session of the night sky followed by the opportunity to ask questions. This event is open to the public. Not recommended for children under 4. No advance registration is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instructions for Attending Planetarium Show<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To attend the planetarium show, check in at the ticket table in the hallway outside of the Planetarium starting as early as 30 minutes before the show start time to reserve your free spot. <\/strong>Seats are first come first serve. We do not accept ticket reservations for free shows in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The planetarium is a theater that projects stars, planets, the Sun, and the Moon on a 30-foot dome. Portions of the show involve complete darkness and may not be suitable for children under 4. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doors close 5 minutes after the planetarium show starts. Sorry, no late admissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Manfred Olson Planetarium is located inside the UW-Milwaukee Physics building:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accessibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There is one wheelchair-accessible entrance via the path between the Physics building and EMS building off Cramer St. (see map below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, our rooftop stargazing deck is not wheelchair accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
