10 Years of Stars and Stories

Director Jean Creighton celebrated her 10th anniversary at the planetarium by honoring her staff and supporters of the planetarium at a special private event on January 21, 2016. This past Saturday, Director Creighton welcomed current and past employees and friends of the planetarium with a catered get-together. Favorite memories of the planetarium and of working together were shared.

A special show was created highlighting staff and fan favorite shows, the journey to SOFIA and the dream of the planetarium’s future. Director Creighton’s time at the planetarium has come full circle from her first show, Life of Stars to the current Friday Night Show, Life of a Star.

Next week starts our Stars Under African Skies series with an Astrobreak on February 1, 2017 from 12:15 to 12:45. There will also be a Celebration of African Culture event that night, February 1, 2017 from 7 – 8 p.m. to start Black History Month at the planetarium. The current Friday night show, Life of a Star runs until February 24.
