Sugato Ray is currently a Ph.D candidate at the UWM Department of Physics working in the research group of Prof. Carol Hirschmugl. Sugato’s work primarily involves infrared (IR) Spectroscopy, Microscopy, FTIR Tomography, and Chemometric analysis of the spectromicroscopic data. Previously an IBM Information Technology engineer, Sugato’s research interests include development of laboratory automation, extraction of information using image processing, and building mathematical models for projects.
