Yet our colleges and universities are especially well-positioned to offer a civic education that equips students to work through difference and arrive at better solutions to problems. In this timely and thought-provoking talk\, Dean Atkins explores how civic discourse—the practice of deliberating with others as fellow members of a shared community—can be taught and practiced on campus.
