Senior Giorgio Sarro, an Atmospheric Sciences major and SURF student with mentor Professor Clark Evans, was selected for the Student Conference Poster Presentation award at the 19th Annual American Meteorological Society Student Conference in Boston in January. Giorgio studies extratropical transition, or the process by which a tropical cyclone transforms into a non-tropical cyclone. Congratulations, Giorgio!
