Testing Alternative Treatments Against Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria

Description

Student will use photodynamic inactivation (use of a chemical that gets excited by visible light and produces reactive oxygen radicals) that will kill bacteria.

Tasks and Responsibilities

This project will involve a bit of chemistry considering the chemicals are photosensitizers so more of a multi-disciplinary approach.

Desired Qualifications

Student should be a science major student at least sophomore or higher and dedicating a year as well as presenting their research at conferences.
