This course explores Korean history, language, religion, and social values. Throughout the semester, we will discuss how Korea has changed over time and what cultural norms and social values have played a role in its transformation.  In addition, we examine the modern Korean pop culture referred to “Hallyu (the Korean Wave)” and analyze what makes it popular.
