Credit/No Credit Grading Option – Ineligible Courses

Due to the extraordinary circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, for the Spring 2020 semester,UWM has expanded the Credit/No Credit (CR/NC) option for students. This expansion allows students to take as many of their Spring 2020 courses as they would like with the CR/NC grading option, as long as the course has not been determined under this emergency policy as ineligible for CR/NC by a home school, college, department or program. Students will be able to change to the CR/NC option through July 3, 2020 by speaking to their academic advisor.

Below is the list of courses that are NOT eligible for the CR/NC grading option under this emergency grading accommodation.  Please contact your academic department if you have questions.

Important notes:

In the College of Health Sciences:

  • CR/NC is not allowed for undergraduates in BMS  and HIA majors and submajors.  It is allowed for graduate students and those outside the programs.
  • CR/NC is not allowed for courses required for the HCA major.  Required courses outside of CHS will be communicated through advisors.
  • In Occupational Science and Technology, CR/NC is allowed ONLY for grades of B- or better on the listed courses.and ONLY for the MSOT program.
  • CR/NC is not allowed for students in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program
  • KIN 270 cannot be taken for CR/NC by students in the BHA program.  Other students are allowed to request CR/NC for this course.

All courses in the School of Architecture and Urban Planning and Zilber School of Public Health are eligible for CR/NC so they will not appear on the list below.
