In the UWM RN-BSN Program, at the program\u2019s end, students take a capstone course where they are placed in your facilities for a non-direct patient care experience to improve comprehensive nursing care through where they are employed. We are excited to inform you of a curriculum innovation we are implementing in Fall 2022 for the students in the UW Flex Option (also known as RN-BSN Flex). Students in this mode will complete their capstone in a new, and now fully competency-based, way. The implication of this curriculum change is that UW Flex Option students will no longer require onboarding for a capstone experience, because student learning will occur over time within their place of employment as opportunities arise for your employees to engage in QI-related activities in their employee role<\/em>. They will reflect on those experiences to demonstrate specific competencies within our curriculum.<\/p>\n
