Located within the Capuchin Community Service House of Peace site in the Walnut Way neighborhood, the House of Peace Community Nursing Center staff develop strong and lasting relationships with clients and are active advocates for their health and well-being.
Health information, referral and nurse case management services along with varied and engaging health promotion programs are the hallmark of the nurse-led partnership site.
Clients include House of Peace guests and residents from the surrounding area. Many UWM College of Nursing students benefit from having their community health clinical experiences at the House of Peace Community Nursing Center.
Clients enjoy a range of services provided at the House of Peace Community Nursing Center including:
- Health information and referral to community resources;
- Health screening, monitoring and counseling for chronic conditions;
- Health promotion classes with the House of Peace staff;
- Gift closet for breast cancer survivors.
