The Nursing Learning Resource Center (NLRC) provides teaching and learning resources through a variety of strategies with simulation as one of the major tools. Simulation provides an environment for the student to experience an aspect of patient care without fear of harm to a patient through the use of models, manikins, medical equipment, and also human patient simulators. Some of the simulators run with computer software which allow it the ability to breathe, talk, and maintain a blood pressure and pulse.
