An estimated 1.4 million children in the United States could be classified as young caregivers \u2013 children who provide medical care to adults, typically family members. However, very little is known about this invisible army of children. UWM researcher Melinda Kavanaugh is one of only a handful of people studying the topic by interviewing the children.
