This year\u2019s symposium, the largest ever, was UW-Milwaukee\u2019s 18th annual.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The students showcased their work using posters, oral presentations and prototype displays. The event gave the public a chance to see hands-on research at an R1 university.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">UWM provides more than 1,000 undergraduate research opportunities every year. The annual Undergraduate Research Symposium showcases the variety and impact of this work on campus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Outstanding presentation awards <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.uwm.edu\/ug-research-symposium-26\/category\/outstanding-presentation\/\">were given to 21 projects<\/a> after ratings by a panel of judges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More than 300 students gathered in the UWM Student Union last week to show off their work at the Undergraduate Research Symposium.
