The Briefing email is a new feature from Microsoft that allows you to look ahead and plan your workday. This message is sent at the beginning of the day and contains a short synopsis of your general tasks, requests, follow-ups, documents and meetings.<\/p>\n

This email is a new feature found in Outlook and is automatically generated. It scans Outlook for any actionable items in your messages and then forms the list contained in the email from Cortana (Microsoft\u2019s virtual assistant tool). This may include previously mentioned tasks or documents found within your inbox. You can mark them as done or delete them from your list as you see fit. If any of those items are related to a meeting, Cortana will couple those together in the email.<\/p>\n

Please note: Briefing emails are personal to each user and your data is kept private. If Cortana does not find any suggestions for you, you will not receive a briefing email that day.<\/p>\n

Briefing emails are sent by default at UWM, but you may choose to unsubscribe. There is an option to unsubscribe in the initial sentence of each email as well as in the footer at the bottom of the message.
