Bronner, dean of the College of General Studies, edited the \u201cThe Oxford Handbook of American Folklore and Folklife Studies,\u201d\u00a0 which included contributions from more than 40 folklorists\/contributors.<\/p>\n<p>The award, established in 1958, recommends &#8220;the most outstanding reference publications published the previous year for&#8230; public and academic libraries,\u201d according to the organization, which is a division of the American Library Association. \u201cThe selected titles are valuable reference resources and are highly recommended for inclusion in any library&#8217;s reference collection,&#8221; according to the organization.<\/p>\n<p>Oxford University Press published the book in 2019.\u00a0 The award was announced at the American Library Association annual meeting last week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Simon J.
