University IT Services is currently evaluating a retirement plan and timeline for UWM.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft Teams is a chat and collaboration platform that is already available to faculty and staff as part of the Office 365 desktop suite. Already this year, the use of Teams across our campus has steadily eclipsed that of Skype for Business, and this transition should correlate well with Skype\u2019s retirement.<\/p>\n<p>If you have not yet installed the Teams app, here are links to instructions on how to do so:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To <a href=\"https:\/\/kb.uwm.edu\/67640\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">install with Windows<\/a><\/li>\n<li>To <a href=\"https:\/\/kb.uwm.edu\/65019\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">install with Mac OS<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To learn more about Teams, please <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/o365\/about-teams\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">visit the UWM Teams webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This October, free training courses on Teams will be offered through UWM&#8217;s Learning TECHniques program.
