{"id":62664,"date":"2018-09-20T15:15:32","date_gmt":"2018-09-20T20:15:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/news\/?p=62664"},"modified":"2024-09-27T10:02:25","modified_gmt":"2024-09-27T15:02:25","slug":"life-impact-program-nets-15000-from-milwaukee-brewers-fundraiser","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/news\/life-impact-program-nets-15000-from-milwaukee-brewers-fundraiser\/","title":{"rendered":"Life Impact program nets $15,000 from Milwaukee Brewers fundraiser"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UWM\u2019s Life Impact program received $15,000 from the Brewers Community Foundation as one of the beneficiaries of the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/news\/uwms-life-impact-program-to-benefit-from-milwaukee-brewers-fundraiser\/\">Hitting 4 the Cycle<\/a>\u00a0 fundraising event.<\/p>\n<p>With that money, Life Impact will be able to serve more scholars and help push an increase in graduation and retention rates for some of their highest risk students at UWM, said Natalie Reinbold, life coach and program director of Life Impact.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an honor to work with an organization like the Brewers because we feel students with children deserve to have a spotlight shown on them,\u201d said Reinbold. \u201cLife Impact scholars overcome barriers every day and do it with the dream of lifting their family out of poverty. This is not only good for those individual family members, but it is also good for our Milwaukee community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Hitting 4 the Cycle event was held by the Milwaukee Brewers on Aug. 25. The 25-mile bike ride served as a fundraiser to benefit local community organizations. Proceeds were donated to the Urban Ecology Center, DreamBikes and UWM\u2019s Life Impact program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UWM\u2019s Life Impact program received $15,000
