Holy Panthers, Batman! It\u2019s UW-Milwaukee Day at the Wisconsin State Fair on Aug. 6. This year\u2019s superhero theme honors UWM\u2019s everyday heroes, who research, study and improve lives. Have a SUPER day at the fair with these activities, games and giveaways.<\/p>\n

Superhero scavenger hunt<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Participate in a superhero-themed scavenger hunt for both children and adults. The first 1,000 to finish will receive their choice of a cape or bandana.<\/p>\n

Graduation photo op<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Pose for a photo in UWM graduation regalia \u2014 cap, gown and diploma. Take home a photo and some super goals for the future.<\/p>\n

Tech demonstrations<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The School of Information Studies booth has almost as many gadgets as Batman. Watch 3-D printing, doodle pens and pancake bot demonstrations.<\/p>\n

Live music on the Central Park Stage<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Anytime Leslies<\/a> perform from 10 a.m. to noon. This folk-pop group is comprised of UWM students and alumni, so it\u2019s sure to be a Hulk smash!<\/p>\n

UWM trivia wheel<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Channel the Riddler\u2019s wit and solve some UWM trivia for a chance to win prizes at the UWM Alumni Association booth.<\/p>\n

Roar Like a Panther contest<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Hold on to your hats, because the kids are bound to bring their biggest voices to the Roar Like a Panther contest. Registration opens at 12:30 p.m., and the contest begins at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

Underwater robotics demonstration<\/h3>\n

Learn how the School of Freshwater Sciences is using the latest technologies to monitor and improve water quality, and watch UWM\u2019s underwater robot in action.<\/p>\n

Pop-a-Shot game<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Shoot some hoops with Pounce, and meet Milwaukee Panther superheroes: the student athletes and their coaches. Don\u2019t forget to enter the raffle for season tickets to Milwaukee Panther games.<\/p>\n

Bucket toss game<\/h3>\n

Head over to the Manfred Olson Planetarium booth to use super skill to successfully launch the \u201cspaceship\u201d into the \u201cexoplanet system,\u201d and win tickets to a planetarium show.<\/p>\n

Cooking techniques demonstration<\/h3>\n

Join UWM Restaurant Operations at the Central Park Stage to learn cooking techniques and recipes for Superhero Chicken and super juice. Demonstrations from 2:15 to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n
