The goal of the internship is to teach social work students psychosocial interviewing skills with parents and families at the pediatric oncology unit at the clinic in Rochester, Minn.<\/p>\n<p>This opportunity gives the student intern a foundation in medical social work along with a $10,000 stipend during the 40-hour a week internship, which begins in January 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stephanie Denzer, a graduate student in social work in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare, has received an an internship with the Mayo Clinic for spring 2017.
