UWM professor of nursing Jane Leske was inducted into the American Academy of Nursing 2015 Class of New Fellows. The American Academy of Nursing selected 163 nurse leaders to be inducted during its annual policy conference in October in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

College of Nursing’s Jane Leske.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\u201cWe are pleased to welcome this talented class of clinicians, researchers, policy leaders, educators and executives as they join the nation\u2019s thought leaders in nursing and health care,\u201d said Academy President Diana J. Mason. \u201cWe look forward to working with them to continue the academy\u2019s work in transforming health policy and practice through the use of our collective nursing knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n

The academy consists of more than 2,300 nurse leaders in education, management, practice, policy and research. Academy fellows include hospital and government administrators, college deans and renowned scientific researchers.<\/p>\n

Fellow selection criteria include evidence of significant contributions to nursing and health care, and sponsorship by two current academy fellows.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
