The UWM Research Foundation has awarded nearly $400,000 in Catalyist Grant funding for seven new research projects \u2013 including drug development for memory loss and software that improves imaging in CT scans.<\/p>\n

The Catalyst Grant Program invests in promising early-stage research at UWM, encouraging\u00a0commercialization of new technology. The program has awarded more than $3.8 million dollars in seed funding for 76 projects since 2008.\"Research_b\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A total of $181,000 from the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation, and the Richard and Ethel Herzfeld Foundation is backing faculty research in areas in which UWM has the greatest potential to impact the regional economy.<\/p>\n

Four additional projects, supported by $200,000 from GE Healthcare Catalyst Grants, focus on research in advanced computational imaging and related embedded systems technologies.<\/p>\n
