{"id":23343,"date":"2015-10-13T14:40:23","date_gmt":"2015-10-13T19:40:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/news\/?p=23343"},"modified":"2023-05-10T16:06:29","modified_gmt":"2023-05-10T21:06:29","slug":"henry-will-make-her-milwaukee-symphony-debut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/news\/henry-will-make-her-milwaukee-symphony-debut\/","title":{"rendered":"Henry will make her Milwaukee Symphony debut"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Peck School of the Arts vocal performance major Kathryn Henry will perform with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra at 8 p.m. Nov.13 and 14 at the Basilica of St. Josaphat, 2333 S. 6th St. In her orchestral debut, she will perform in Gorecki\u2019s 3rd Symphony.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_23548\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-23548\" style=\"width: 175px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/Kathryn_Henry_wpf-ttozfq-175x152.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-23548\" src=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/Kathryn_Henry_wpf-ttozfq-175x152.jpg\" alt=\"Kathryn Henry\" width=\"175\" height=\"152\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-23548\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kathryn Henry<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Music fans will remember Henry as a winner of the national Semifinals of the Metropolitan Opera Council Auditions in March.<\/p>\n<p>Henry is also a winner of the UWM Symphony Orchestra Concerto and Aria competition and took first place in the Upper College Women category at the national level of the National Association of Teachers Singing Student auditions. Her many operatic credits include the title role in UWM\u2019s production of \u201cSuor Angelica.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UWM soprano Kathryn Henry will make her
