It\u2019s been 16 years since the university completed its last comprehensive plan, and in that time, academics, research, student needs and the workforce have changed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The planning and design firm Ayers Saint Gross (ASG) will guide this multi<\/span>\u2011<span data-contrast=\"auto\">year effort in partnership with UWM. They will help assess how facilities are functioning today, and how they can better support student success, discovery and innovation, and community impact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The campus planning process involves two phases: discovery and development. In the discovery phase, which begins this fall, ASG will conduct comprehensive facility condition assessments and space inventories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Based on what\u2019s learned in the first phase, in the second or development phase that\u2019s anticipated to begin in the summer of 2027, ASG will work with faculty and staff to explore scenarios, evaluate options and shape long<\/span>\u2011<span data-contrast=\"auto\">range strategies for our facilities and open spaces. Faculty and staff will have a chance to share their thoughts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This Long<\/span>\u2011<span data-contrast=\"auto\">Range Campus Plan will directly shape the environments where we teach, advise, conduct research, collaborate and work every day.
