{"id":140314,"date":"2024-12-16T14:33:41","date_gmt":"2024-12-16T20:33:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/news\/?p=140314"},"modified":"2025-01-07T10:06:21","modified_gmt":"2025-01-07T16:06:21","slug":"happy-uwm-graduation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/news\/happy-uwm-graduation\/","title":{"rendered":"Happy UWM graduation!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">It\u2019s the most wonderful time of the year \u2013 graduation!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">More than 1,700 students graduated from UWM this fall, many walking across the stage at the UWM Panther Arena on Sunday amid the cheers from family, friends, faculty and fellow graduates.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley gave the commencement address, and he is a graduate too. Inspired by his family, Crowley returned to college to finish his long-neglected degree, juggling classes at UWM with family life and his duties with the county.
