MKE Tech News calls for submissions

MKE Tech News has invited UWM to contribute to its monthly newsletter, which goes to subscribers at tech-related companies or engaged in tech-related activities in southeastern Wisconsin. Faculty members engaged in tech-related research are invited to share stories about their work, including grant announcements. Staff members participating in and leading tech-related activities also are invited to submit items, and the newsletter will help promote tech-related events at UWM and throughout the region.

The newsletter takes a broad approach to tech news, with interest in:

  • Hardware and software developments
  • New technologies and advances in materials science
  • Data science
  • Artificial intelligence
  • The Internet of Things (IoT)
  • The impact of technology on business
  • The impact of technology on our lives
  • How humans interact with technology
  • The growth and/or establishment of tech-related educational programs (Ex: Girls Who Code, UWM’s MS IST program)

Faculty and staff members interested in contributing to the newsletter can send submissions with links and photos to Laura Otto. Please put MKE Tech News in the subject line.

Moving forward, University Relations will send an email to interested faculty and staff each month inviting submissions. To be added to the email list, please contact Laura Otto.
