How to practice self-care during end-of-semester stress

The end of the semester can bring on all kinds of emotions, ranging from exam-related stress to feelings of uncertainty that come with transitions at the close of the academic year. Caring for your mental health and well-being during this time begins with self-care.

Fortunately, students have many options: connect with people who support you; get regular sleep; exercise; spend some time in nature; and practice mindfulness and deep breathing.

Try keeping a daily schedule that works for you and builds in self-care, with meals, study, work, breaks and sleep — it can increase a sense of predictability and calm.
