Honors College newsletter takes second in national competition

The Aggregate, the newsletter for the UWM Honors College, recently won second place in a contest sponsored by the National Collegiate Honors Council.

The Aggregate, which is written, edited and published by UWM Honors College students, competed against 32 other honors college publications nationwide in the electronically published category of the 2019 Honors Newsletter Competition.

The Aggregate was first published in fall 2017 and appears twice each academic year, in December and May. The newsletter’s goal is “reflect what is unique about the Honors College.” Content includes interviews with students, staff and faculty, stories about activities hosted by the Honors College, as well as connections with alumni.

The latest issue, published in May, focused on the arts community within the Honors College. The team behind it includes Samantha Brusky, Alex Sitze, Rachel Radomski, Amanda Niebauer, Kaitlyn Diskin, Haley Kress, Kimmie Mayer, Lena Orwig, Halie Gehling and Mara Lapp.
