As a freelance musician in New York for the past 17 years, Basile has traveled the world. He has performed in many different settings with many wonderful musicians. Dubbed a "prized sideman" by The New Yorker, Basile will discuss his associations with the top big bands and his experiences as a jazz musician in New York City.

Peggy Rozga is a civil rights activist, poet, playwright, and professor emerita of English. She will be speaking in conjunction with the exhibit "Crossing the Line: The Milwaukee Fair Housing Marches of 1967-1968." The exhibit commemorates the 50th anniversary of Milwaukee's civil rights marches. Provided by Wisconsin Historical Society, it examines the practices and prejudices that led to segregation in Milwaukee. UWM at Washington County: Winter Concert

The Moraine Chorus will perform a winter concert on Sunday, December 16 at 2pm. The concert takes place at UWM at Washington County in West Bend. The concert opens with two brief sections of a “Requiem” by Sebastian de Vivanco, a Spanish composer of the Renaissance. The unpublished movements were recently transcribed and edited from the Guadalupe manuscript.
