Listing Service

The homepage of the listing service is a map of Milwaukee. It shows all the available listings on the right, and all postings for units on the left.

We currently offer an app to IOS systems, available on the app store as UWM NHO.

Top Left Tabs

Listings: all the units available for rent

Roommates:  restricted to UWM people who have an ePanther ID and password. Create a post so others can see you are looking for a roommate, and view posts from other students looking for roommates.

Subleases: gives the option of subleasing to someone else or taking over someone’s lease, during breaks or when studying abroad.

Parking: shows parking spots that are available for rent, which is usually in the alley or in the driveway of a landlords property. Agreements for parking ranges in time, from three months to one year, and prices vary by landlord.

Average Rent: shows the price for a studio, one bedroom, two bedrooms, three bedrooms, and four bedrooms. These prices are updated yearly.

Resources: gives some resources the Neighborhood Housing Office offers to students.


This includes a rental timeline, programs offered by the Neighborhood Housing Office, and a link to the Official City of Milwaukee website where you can see neighborhood associations, view initiatives the city is offering, and search the Milwaukee Directory.

Using the Filters

When using the filters, sort through number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, and prices for rent.

You can also filter between houses and apartments, as well as amenities.

The Neighborhood Housing office offers two programs to Landlords and students called the Good Neighbor Program and the Preferred Tenant program. Once completed, stickers for those programs get put onto listings and can be used with the filters.

Clicking on a Listing

Once you click on a listing, at the very top is a photos section, which is all the photos submitted by the landlord.

There is also a street view section, which shows an interactive view of the area surrounding the property,

The final tab is walk times from the property to areas around campus. The walk times tab can also show bike times, car times, and bus routes closest to the property that can be taken to get to campus.

Contacting the Landlord

After clicking on a listing, on the right  is the contact information for that property. Here it will either say to contact them for price and/or call for availability.

There is also a save to favorites option, which is a feature that only works when logged in. This allows you to look back at listings you may have liked. If you save something to your favorites and are not logged in, you must log in so it can save.

Scrolling Down the Page

Scrolling down the page, there will be property highlights, a description of the property, and the amenities it has.

There will also be reviews if there have been any submitted for the property, and a related listings tab on the bottom for similar properties.
