On April 4th, 2013, the Milwaukee Child Welfare Partnership hosted a “Fatherhood Conference.” The conference featured guest speakers Eloise Anderson, Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families, Dr Stan Stojkovic, Dean of the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Helen Bader School of Social Welfare and keynote speaker Dr. David Pate from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, Helen Bader School of Social Welfare. The conference also featured a panel of fathers who have been involved with the Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare. Participants had the opportunity to participate in a number of afternoon workshops that were designed to help workers engage fathers in the child welfare process.
