More information about the study abroad semester can be found at: https:\/\/budapestsemesters.com\/summer-program\/ for summer or https:\/\/www.budapestsemesters.com\/apply-2\/ for the fall program. The scholarship provides up to $7,000 towards the costs of the program. For the summer program this would cover most of the tuition cost. The student would be responsible for all remaining expenses. The program is eligible for financial aid and students should explore additional funding options with the study abroad office. For the fall program, the scholarship would only cover about a third of the tuition. This is an accredited program and is eligible for regular financial aid. Eligible students include math, applied math and actuarial science majors with at least sophomore standing and a strong record of academic success. Students should have completed one semester of real analysis or abstract algebra prior to going abroad to successfully complete the coursework in Budapest. The student awarded the scholarship must still apply and be accepted to the Budapest program in order to receive the scholarship. The deadline to apply to the program for summer is March 1; the deadline to apply to the program for Fall is April 1.
