The Poisson Boltzmann Equations

I will describe some known results related to the local and nonlocal Poisson Boltzmann equations (PBE), an electrostatic model with applications in Physics, Biology and Chemistry. I will discuss some previous results about the existence and uniqueness of solutions to the PBE, and considerations that arise when solving the equations numerically.
