On quantum and stochastic confinement

Our goal in this talk is to explore the broad question of confinement of particles to spatial domains. The first part of the talk will focus on understanding what confinement is, and how it can be translated from heuristical to mathematical terms. We will then discuss several types of particles, among them, classical, quantum, and stochastic, and concrete criteria (old and new) which ensure the confinement of these particles.
