Atmospheric Science Open House

Friday, November 18, 2016

During our Open House, you will find out what makes UWM’s Atmospheric Science Program special! The program gives students valuable opportunities to enhance their educational experience in weather forecasting, research, and communication. We have small class sizes and a friendly environment, and an open-door policy to students that furthers their educational development and excellence.

Our excellent core curriculum prepares our students for graduate school and employment in all traditional disciplines of the field, and related societally-relevant areas such as risk assessment, Big Data, environmental engineering, communications, and emergency management.

We maintain close ties with regional and national employers in the private sector and federal and state governments and have excellent computing, research, and teaching facilities. Through paid internships, Innovative Weather trains the next generation of leaders, communicators, and meteorologists while providing weather-related decision support services to the community and business partners throughout southeastern Wisconsin and the Midwest.

Please note that the Atmospheric Science Program is housed in the UWM Department of Mathematical Sciences.
