This year we were fortunate to have Dr. Eugenia Cheng from the University of Sheffield and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago present to us. Her lecture, entitled How to Bake Pi: An Edible Exploration of the Mathematics of Mathematics is appealing (and quite frankly, fun!) for both the practiced mathematician and the “average Joe.”
