RAVE alerts will no longer be issued for inclement or severe weather alerts unless it poses significant safety risks to campuses, such as a tornado warning
* All students, faculty, and staff with a mobile number associated with their PAWS or HR profile are automatically enrolled in RAVE text alerts. Individuals can opt out. Any individual can sign up for RAVE alerts by texting uwmalerts to 226787.
** All parents of current students who have an email associated with their student’s account receive email alerts via Campus ESP.
*** All individuals with a UWM email may download the free RAVE Guardian app to receive app-based notifications.
+ All individuals may follow UWM Facebook and Twitter accounts for important updates, but those updates may be delayed or hidden based on platform algorithms. Posts are also shared via the UWM Panther Family Portal on Campus ESP and the UWM Panther Parent Facebook Group.
++ Currently, UWM Police notifies Hartford Elementary School and the UMC Children’s Learning Center of critical safety and security issues. The Children’s Learning Center is developing its own RAVE alert system for parents and guardians associated with the center. UWM Police has shared the RAVE text signup for all community members with Hartford Elementary School leadership.
