Wisconsin Innovation 2020 Award Winners Announced

The Wisconsin Innovation Awards announced the 2020 winners in the seventh annual event on October 13th in Madison Wisconsin. The annual awards celebrate Wisconsin’s most innovative products and services.

Among the four winners selected was Shorewood startup SafeLi. SafeLi is a startup focusing on creating and innovating better batteries, with particular interest in lithium-ion batteries. SafeLi also holds a patent for their research and innovations.

SafeLi was founded by Dr. Marija Gajdardziska – Dean of the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Graduate School and UWM Physics Professor, and Dr. Carol Hirschmugl –  Physics Professor at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, are co-founders of the startup SafeLi.

Dr. Garjdardziska and Dr. Hirschmugl’s startup was announced as one of four winners of the 2020 Wisconsin Innovation Awards.
