Get ready – the 2022-2023 UWM Startup Challenge is about to begin! The longest running LEC program focuses on developing your ideas, enhancing your thinking, improving your storytelling and more. The Startup Challenge is open to everyone – students, entrepreneurs, and community members all are welcome to join.
Here are the Startup Challenge Booster sessions happening this fall:
October 13th: Kick off with Product Market Fit and Customer Discovery! Explore who your product or service helps and how it serves them.
November 5th: Build up your entrepreneurial stratagem with the Business Model Canvas Mixer. Work with one of the most used startup tools in the world, develop a model for your venture, and learn from an industry mentor on how best to apply your newfound knowledge.
December 10th: Wrap up this semester with the Customer Discovery Report Out. Present what you’ve learned about your business model, garner feedback, and advise your peers on their journeys.
Additionally, several Hosted Brown Bag Lunches are being held throughout the semester. Topics for these informal conversations include: Improvisational Speaking, Intellectual Property, and Federal Funding, with even more topics to come.
