Employing Design Thinking Methods

Lindsey Roddy – PhD student in the College of Nursing at UWM, and Dr. Michele Polfuss – Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at UWM, have published a research paper on the use of design thinking in nursing and how it can improve the patient care. Read the full paper here.

In the paper, Lindsey and Dr. Polfuss detail the five step process behind design thinking (what is it and how does it work), and review how it can be used by nurses for the creation of products and services that benefit the healthcare system, the nursing practice, and patient care.
