Entrepreneur-In-Residence of Social Innovation, Lubar Entrepreneurship Center
As Cofounder and Executive Director, Mark leads a devoted team of design and education professionals at Islands of Brilliance, an early workforce development program for children, teens, and young adults on the autism spectrum. His TEDx talk 13 Years on an Island traces the personal story behind the creation of Islands of Brilliance.
In his role at the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center, Mark curates and hosts Social Good Morning, a monthly conversation series with social entrepreneurs working in the community. He also is involved with UWM’s Startup Challenge, offering weekly office hours and building awareness and engagement of social impact as an avenue for UWM student entrepreneurs.
Fun Fact:
Mark has a wood-fired pizza oven in his backyard in Shorewood, and is known for his festive Neapolitan pizza gatherings.
