Linguistics department lecturer Kelsie Pattillo and PhD students Lauren Clark and Jieun Lee will present their paper “Dialectology, prevelar raising, and collaborative language research in the undergraduate classroom” at the 16th Workshop in General Linguistics at UW-Madison in March. The paper stems from a class project they led with students in Linguistics 210 (Power of Words) to map the pronunciation of bag across the Midwest.
